Mumbai Tours & Tickets

City tours, cave trips, food walks and day trips — the experiences worth booking in Mumbai.

Mumbai is a city of experiences more than of ticketed monuments. Much of what you will remember — a morning market, the dabbawalas, a lane of food stalls, the stories behind a Gothic facade — is hard to find or understand on your own. That is where a good guide earns the fee, and prices here are among the lowest of any major city.

GetYourGuide lists hundreds of Mumbai products, many of them near-duplicates. We have picked eighteen that are well reviewed and clearly different from one another, and grouped them by what you want to do. Prices are indicative starting points seen on the listings and often depend on group size; tap any card for the live price in your currency.

See the city

Mumbai’s sights are spread over 20 km of peninsula. A car and guide save hours; a walking tour goes deeper into one district; a night tour avoids the heat altogether.

🕒 1.5–6 hours 📍 From Gateway of India

Mumbai: Elephanta Caves Half-Day Guided Tour

Elephanta’s sculptures are magnificent but almost unlabelled, so a guide makes a real difference. The caves are closed on Mondays.

Booking questions

Frequently asked questions

Which Mumbai tour should I book first?

If it is your first visit, a full-day sightseeing tour by car gives you the lie of the land. Add the Elephanta Caves on a second morning and a street-food tour one evening, and you have covered the essentials.

Are Dharavi tours ethical?

They can be. Look for operators rooted in the community that keep groups small, restrict photography and reinvest in local projects. We explain what to look for on our Dharavi page.

Do Elephanta tours run every day?

No. The caves are closed on Mondays, and ferries are cancelled in rough weather, most often between June and September. Most listings offer free cancellation if the boats do not run — check the terms.

What is included in the price?

It varies. Walking tours usually include the guide and tastings where stated; car tours include the vehicle and driver. Monument tickets, ferry fares and meals are often extra. Each listing spells out exactly what is covered.

Can I cancel if my plans change?

Most listings offer free cancellation up to 24 hours before the start, and many let you reserve now and pay later. The exact terms are shown on each tour page before you confirm.
